You are Invited to Worship, Activities, Concerts, and more during Advent at  Kirkwood United Methodist Church!

We're inviting you to come and experience something new during this season of Advent at KUMC!  Drop in for Christmas concerts, bring your family to the fun activities planned this season, get involved with our Christmas food boxes mission, and join KUMC for weekly worship for our Advent Worship Series, "Let There Be Light."  If your schedule gets too busy and your weekends are full, we also have a 30-minute service called The Well on Wednesdays at Noon in The Chapel, or a new Zoom Bible Study, The Manger vs The Emperor on Wednesday evenings that you can join. There is something for everyone this season at KUMC.  Our doors are always open to you, especially for Christmas Eve Worship on Tuesday, December 24th, for any of our three different worship times. Choose the worship time and style that suits you from the list below, and come to celebrate Christmas Eve at KUMC!

This 25-day devotional book incorporates poetry prayers, planning & journaling prompts, and coloring pages! Take a moment to pull out your crayons, markers, water paints, and let the act of bringing color to the beautiful illustrations help center you this holiday season. Parents, the coloring book is a great tool to invite your children to join you in coloring the pages and talk about the art and scriptures for the day.

Pick up a copy at church at the Connection Center, or the church office.

  • THE WELL Advent Worship

Wednesdays at noon in The Chapel in December

This contemplative mid-week worship service led by Pastor Katie Trinter is 30 minutes and includes time for reflection, readings, prayer, and music in The Chapel. By midweek it is easy to feel drained and stressed. This Advent season, you are invited to take a break; a break from the frenzy and drink in the Holy as we contemplate Christ's hope, peace, joy and love at The Well on Wednesdays.

  • The Manger vs The Emperor Bible Study

    Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30pm, on Zoom

Jesus' first breath was a threat to Caesar's status quo.  We will look at the clues in the Gospels, Christmas songs, and some of Rome's own writing.  The result is a fuller appreciation of Jesus and how Christmas changed the world.  Led by Pastor Steven.
