Director of Children's Ministries
The Children’s Ministry at Kirkwood UMC aims to nurture and support children and their families in their faith. The Children's Ministries Director's role is to help children from Birth-5th Grade develop Faith in Jesus through relationships, programming, and equipping their families. The Children's Director will lead the childcare staff and volunteer members to care for the children through activities, events, and programs. This includes Kids’ Worship on Sunday mornings, weeknights, and special weekend events. The position is part-time, hourly (averaging 20 hours a week - with flexible scheduling).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Oversee weekly Children’s Ministry programming occurring during adult Worship times
(currently 9am and 10:30am), Wednesday Night Childcare for LifeBridge, and to lead VBS Week.
● Build relationships with children and their families
● Utilize and modify the curriculum for our context.
● Develop and lead a Children’s Ministry Leadership Team comprised of volunteers
● Supervise hourly Children’s Ministry workers and nursery staff

Children's Ministry Childcare Worker
The Children’s Ministry at Kirkwood UMC aims to nurture and support children and their families in their faith. To that end, Children’s Ministry Childcare Workers assist in Children’s Ministry programs, helping kids from birth through 5th grade and their families experience the love of Christ through their support and care. This position will report to the Director of the Children’s Ministry and assist other childcare staff members in caring for children and with activities, events, and programs for children and families. This may include Kids’ Worship on Sunday mornings, weeknights, and weekends. The position is part-time, hourly (averaging 3-10 hours a week - with flexible scheduling).

Director of Youth Ministries
The purpose of the Director of Youth Ministries is to help students 6 th -12th Grade develop Faith in Jesus through relationships, programming, and equipping their families. The Youth Director will oversee weekly Youth Ministry programming on Sunday evenings, as well as coordinate programming on non-Sundays and plan additional events including fun events, service events, and mission trips. This position is part-time, 15 hours a week.

Director of NextGen Ministry
The purpose of this position is to help children and youth Birth-12th Grade develop Faith in Jesus through relationships, programming, and equipping their families. Responsibilities include overseeing weekly Children’s Ministry programming occurring during adult Worship times (currently Sundays 9am and 10:30am) and weekly youth group for 6th-12th grades, and building relationships with children, youth and families.
