Starting the Sunday after Easter, we will explore not just believing resurrection, but living it. When we love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously, we join Jesus in practicing resurrection and bringing resurrection hope into the world. Don’t miss next Sunday, April 12 for a BIG SURPRISE to help propel us into living resurrection, offering every one of us the chance to make greater change.

Why Church Matters: A Living Resurrection Bible Study

Join a study led by Rev. Dennis Crosson on the UMC’s vision statement—Love Boldly. Serve Joyfully. Lead Courageously. We will examine how scripture speaks to this vision, and look at heroes of our faith whose lives embodied the vision. The class will meet for three weeks on Mondays at 10:30 am and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, beginning the week of April 12th.

Sign up at the Connection Center or online here.

Serve Sunday - April 26

Step out to practice what we’ve been exploring all month — loving boldly, serving joyfully, and leading courageously. After worship, you are invited serve our community in hands‑on projects that reflect Jesus’s resurrection hope. Let’s put our faith into action and embody the love, joy, and justice we’ve been learning about together.

Reverse Offering

Sunday, April 13th, we introduced our Reverse Offering. Everyone at the church services was given $20 to go out into the world and make a difference. This could be anything from paying for someones meal at a fast food restaurant, to buying food for a food pantry, to donating to charity. There are so many creative ways to give and be a part of Living Resurrection in the world.

If you were not able to attend church on the 13th, we still have envelopes at the front desk! You are welcome

Please feel free to share your story and photos on social media using #livingresurrection and tag our church as well, @kirkwoodmethodist

We would also love for you to tell your story with us here.

This Reverse Offering was made possible by an endowment from a beloved member of KUMC who passed away in 2023. To learn more about Nancy Higgins, who's love for the church and its people continues to bless people, please go here.
