Youth Ministries Meeting Schedule

Each month Middle School (grades 6th - 8th) (MS) or High School (grades 9th -12th) (HS) will have an individual group meeting and one meeting when both groups meet together. Events may be added occasionally too! So check back to see what other fun things are in store for you in KUMC's Youth programs led by Youth Ministries Director Jeremy Melton.

  • Monthly MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL Gatherings

    Below is the Winter/Spring 2023 Schedule for Middle and High School Gatherings. All meetings will be in the Youth Room at KUMC unless otherwise specified. 


    • February 1: HS Gathering 6 - 7:30 pm
    • February 7: MS Gathering 6 - 7:30 pm
    • February 12:  MS/HS Super Bowl Party 5 pm - game end
    • February 28: HS Gathering 6 - 7:30 pm

    What is it?

    According to their website, Discord is "your place to talk and hang out."  It is a platform that hosts thousands of servers. Each server is an invite-only chat room, but parents, this is not your chat room of the old days of dial-up connection. Only people with a direct link can enter the server - nobody can search generically for private servers - and all the content on ours is carefully moderated by adults certified by Safe Gatherings in our youth ministry.

     

    Who's it for?

    Our KUMC Youth Discord server serves middle school and high school students, but we also have a place just for recent high school graduates.

    You can access Discord straight from your internet browser, by downloading a desktop app on your PC or a mobile app on your phone or tablet (or all of the above). Visit discord.com/register to get started, or follow the prompts after downloading the app.
