Children's Ministry Childcare Worker
The purpose of the Children’s Ministry at Kirkwood UMC is to nurture and support children and their families in their faith. To that end, Children’s Ministry Childcare Workers assist in Children’s Ministry programs, helping kids from birth through 5th grade and their families experience the love of Christ through their support and care. This position will report to the Director of Children’s Ministry and will assist other childcare staff members to care for children and with activities, events, and programs for children and families. This may include Kids’ Worship on Sunday mornings, weeknights, and weekends. The position is part-time, hourly (averaging anywhere from 3-10 hours a week - with flexible scheduling).

Director of Traditional Music
The purpose of the Director of Traditional Music is to develop, equip, and lead traditional music ministries at Kirkwood UMC. This includes directing the Adult Chancel Choir and other ensembles, assisting the pastor in the planning and implementation of weekly traditional worship and special services, and providing supervision, support, and encouragement to music ministries’ staff and volunteers. This position is full-time 30-40 hours a week, including evening and weekend commitments.

Director of Handbells
The purpose of the Director of Handbells is to develop, equip and lead KUMC in their various handbell associated ministries. This includes directing the Wesley Bells and Morning Bells as well as working in cooperation with the Director of Traditional Music and Pastors in providing appropriate and worshipful handbell experience in worship and other venues. This is a part time position and pay would be commensurate with experience.

Director, ReBELLion Handbell Ensemble
Kirkwood, Missouri
The purpose of the Director of ReBELLion is to inspire, lead, and develop this auditioned community handbell ensemble to rehearse and perform challenging handbell music to delight and entertain listeners. This includes selecting and assigning parts of advanced music repertoire, planning and leading weekly rehearsals during the academic year, and leading the ensemble in performances. ReBELLion rings on 5 ½ octaves of handbells and 5 octaves of chimes provided by Kirkwood United Methodist Church (KUMC). The link to the complete job description is below.
