Advent  and Christmas Events at KUMC

You are always welcome at Kirkwood United Methodist Church!

Especially at Christmas time when there are so many fun things happening at KUMC! Drop in for Christmas concerts, bring your children for some of the fun activities planned for them, and join us for weekly worship to explore angels in our Advent Worship Series, Angels Among Us. This sermon series also includes an adult book study, The Angels of Christmas that will meet on Mondays at 10:30 am in The Chapel. We look forward to welcoming you to Christmas Eve Worship on Saturday, December 24th at any one of our four different worship times. Choose the worship time and style that suits you and come celebrate the birth of Christ this Christmas Eve at KUMC!

Our sermon series for Advent is Angels Among Us.

The angels that appear in the story of Jesus’ birth aren’t the Hallmark version. Their messages were often short and to the point — their favorite line being “Do Not Be Afraid!” even as they proclaimed risky news of dangerous and life-changing hope. As we look at the stories of these winged messengers to Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the Shepherds and their reactions to them, we will contemplate what messages we can offer that will counteract a culture of fear and bring more hope, more peace, more joy, and more love to the world.
